Benazir Bhutto’s sacrifices for democracy will always be remembered- Altaf Hussain

London: 27^th December 2008 

The MQM Leader Mr. Altaf Hussain stated that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s sacrifices for democracy in Pakistan will always be remembered. On the occasion of her first death anniversary he said that after the Martyrdom of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto sustained the party and endured imprisonment and exile but continued her struggle for democracy. Along with her political engagements she took care of her children during the long imprisonment of her husband.

Mr. Altaf Hussain pointed out the sacrifices of Bhutto family in pursuit of democracy and Mohtarma was martyred for that cause as well. He said that her assassination is a national calamity and demanded the conspiracy of her assassination must be revealed and the perpetrators apprehended.

Mr. Altaf Hussain prayed for Mohtarma Benazir’s salvation and to give strength to her husband Mr. Asif Ali Zardari and her children to bear the calamity. He said that the MQM shares the grief of Peoples Party workers and leaders.
