Joint Unit In charge of MQM Ghulam Sharif Assassinated by Armed Terrorists in Karachi

Ghulam Sharif, Joint Unit- In charge of Unit 2 Yousuf Goth, Surjani Sector (a suburb of Karachi, Sindh, Southern Pakistan) was gunned down in cold blood from point blank range by the armed terrorists on the night of Wednesday, 17 December 2008.  Ghulam Sharief, the victim of the unprovoked target killing left behind a widow and a three years old daughter.

The funeral of Ghulam Sharif was attended by the members of Central Coordination Committee; a vast number of the MQM’s elected representatives, Ministers, Advisors, local representatives and thousands of workers & supporters of the MQM. A large number of office bearers of different wings were also present. The funeral prayer was offered in Jinnah Ground, adjacent to “90”, the Head Office of MQM in Azizabad, Karachi. Afterwards his body was taken to the Martyrs   graveyard in procession attended by thousands.

The memorial service (Soyem) of Ghulam Sharif will take place on Friday 19^th, December 2008 in Rehmania Mosque near his residence in Surjani Town, Yousuf Goth after Friday Prayer. The MQM have appealed to the masses to join his memorial in large numbers.
