22nd anniversary of Mohtrama Khursheed Begum, mother of Mr. Altaf Hussain, Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) was observed all over the country including Karachi, today.
Congregations were held in the MQM offices all over Pakistan and overseas where the Holy Quran was recited in commemoration of Mohtarma Khursheed Begum.
The central congregation held in Lal Qilla Ground, Azizabad, Karachi. Congregation were attended by Saira Begum, daughter of the late Mohtarma Khursheed Begum and sister of Mr. Altaf Hussain, Deputy Convenor of MQM Co-ordination Committee, Dr. Farooq Sattar, Incharge Co-ordination Committee of Pakistan Anwar Alam, Joint Incharge Abdul Haseeb, Members Shoaib Bukhari, Dr. Nusrat, Dr. Asim Raza, Ashfaque Mangi, Shahid Latif, Adil Siddiqui, Naik Mohammad, Waseem Aftab, Ms. Mumtaz Anwar, Mrs. Khursheed Afsar, former Federal and Provincial Ministers, former members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, Haq Parast Town and UC Nazims, Councillors, members of the different wings of MQM’s, office bearers and workers. After reciting Holy Quran the members of the Co-ordination Committee visited Paposh Nagar graveyard and offered Fatiha Khawani for the parents of Mr. Altaf Hussain.
Congregations of Quran Khawani were also observed in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Qumber Shahdad kot, Kashmor, Shikarpur, Khairpur, Ghotki, Nosheroferoz, Larkana, Dadu, Jamshoro, Thatha, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Nawabshah, Hyderabad, Tando allahyar and Umarkot as well as in MQM’s Provincial Offices in Punjab, NWFP, Balochistan and Azad Kashmir.
