Those who
professed to love Quaid-e-Azam
killed Quaid-e-Azam quietly – Altaf Hussain
London – 27 December
2004
MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain has stated that his factual statements
on Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal are being twisted by
certain elements who are working against the philosophy and workings of Mohammad
Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal. Moreover, these elements acclaim to be the
followers and admirers of Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal. After
independence, these elements and their protectors’ maltreated Mohammad Ali
Jinnah compelling him to tearfully say today all the coins in his pocket are
worthless. Mr Hussain said that if he is given an opportunity to appear live on
television to disclose the true facts then he will convince the people of
Pakistan with hard facts how the Establishment proclaiming to be faithful to
Mohammad Ali Jinnah and those on its payroll silenced Mohammad Ali Jinnah,
murdered him and how his sister Fatima Jinnah was poisoned during a wedding
ceremony, tortured that night and ruthlessly murdered. Soon after the Mohatta
Palace was sealed. He claimed that a few eyewitnesses are still alive and if the
Government of Pakistan allows them to disclose these facts to the public at
large then he can present them over the television provided the Government
guarantees to protect their lives and property. Mr Hussain said that the
discussion does not end on the murders of Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Fatima Jinnah
but when his sister Shireen Jinnah demanded the hereditary rights from the
Government of Pakistan, she was humiliated and dragged through courts. And when
this mental torture resulted in her death how many government personalities
attended her Namaaz-e-Janaza? How Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani a close associated
of Mohammad Ali Jinnah was forcefully evicted from his house? Mr Hussain said
that Allama Iqbal was a universal personality who was liberal minded visionary
and believed in humanity. He wrote poems praising Ram, Guru Nanak and Karl Marx.
Moreover, he also wrote on communism and other philosophical topics. He gave his
opinion on history, philosophy, religion, social tenets and other topics.
Following are a few couplets from his work for the benefit and reference for the
students:
Praising Ram in Bang-e-Dara
page 134 he says:
Hay Raam
kay wajood pe Hindustan ko naaz
Ehle nazar
samjhte hain us ko imame hind
Ijaz is chiraghe hidayat ka hai yahi
Roshan tar az seher hai zamane main shame hind
Similarly, in Bang-e-Dara page 183, praising Guru Nanak he says:
Aah
badqismet rahe aawaze haq se be khabar
Ghafil apne phal ki sheerini se hota hai shajar
But kadah phir baad mudat ke magar roshan hua
Noore Ibrahim se aazar ka ghar roshan hua
Phir uthi sada tauheed ki Punjab se
Hind ko ik marde kamil ne jagaya khuaab se
Challenging the critics of Karl Marx, he says in Zarb-e-Kaleem page 116, he says:
Yeh ilmo
hikmet ki mohrabaazi yeh behes w takrar ki numaaish
Nahin hai duniya ko ab gawaara puraane afkaar ki numaaish
Defining Marx’s communism in Zarb-e-Kaleem page 115, he says:
Andesha
hua shokhie afkar pe majboor
Farsoodah tariqon se zamana hua bezaar
Quran main ho ghauta zan a marde Muslman
Allah kare tujh ko ataa jidate kirdar
Moreover, promoting his liberal mindedness with relation to religion, Allama Iqbal in his poem Taran-e-Hindi says:
Mazhab
nahin sikhaata aapas main ber rakhna
Hindi hain hum watan hain Hindustan hamara
Mr Hussain said that the above work of Allama Iqbal are evidences of his broadmindedness, liberalism and universal thoughts, however, it is sad that the biased elements have confined him to Punjab. Therefore, it is the age-old demand of the believers of humanity, universalism and liberal mindedness to free Allama Iqbal from the clutches of Punjabism. The people of Pakistan must be aware that in the past the photograph of Quaid-e-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan always appeared along with the Founder of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Why Quaid-e-Millat’s photograph has now been removed from besides Quaid-e-Azam? Why Liaquat Ali Khan’s death anniversary is not observed at the national level? Why public holiday is not announced on his death anniversary? And why the nation is not told how the aircraft carrying his murder investigation report was destroyed? Mr Hussain said that it is sad that why the intellectuals who migrated to Pakistan are silent spectators over the distortion of historical facts. Mr Hussain paid rich tributes to all those intellectuals and poets who migrated to Pakistan, regardless of the consequences the held high the banner of righteousness and continues even today to write facts whether the chauvinist newspapers give space to their articles or poetry.
