MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf
Hussain has strongly condemned the assassination attempt on President Pervez
Musharraf and termed it as naked terrorism.
Addressing a mammoth MQM public gathering at the RCD Ground Malir in
Karachi, he commented that differences on political and ideological grounds are
part of democracy, however, it certainly does justify such shameful attempt of
assassinating the opponent. He said that the elements behind this assassination attempt
are not sincere to the country and the nation.
He emphasised that Pakistan is undergoing a very critical phase and it is
the need of time to demonstrate absolute unity, synchronization and harmony.
Mr Hussain appealed to the Prime Minister, Federal Cabinet, Military Intelligence, ISI and the IB to protect Pakistan from these terrorists and further strengthen the security measures for President General Pervez Musharraf. Mr Hussain announced his and the MQM’s unconditional service to providing security for the motherland at this crucial time. He also prayed for those who lost their lives in this assassination attempt and for the early recovery of those injured.
