ALTAF HUSSAIN'S GREETINGS AND BEST WISHES TO THE CHRISTIAN BRETHREN ON CHRISTMAS

In a message on the eve of Christmas, Mr Altaf Hussain, Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), has sent his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the Christian community in Pakistan and world over. He said the whole world is celebrating the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ, who preached love and service for humanity his entire life.

Mr Hussain said that every prophet and revered religious personality preached for equality, love and service for humanity. The Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) also preached the same message, therefore, he is also called Rehmat-Ul-Lil-Aalameen (blessing for the universe). No prophet or preacher propagated hatred on the basis of religion. They struggled against those who differentiated the human beings on the basis of religion. It is a matter of great sorrow that after the era of these prophets and pious personalities, the vested interests distorted their teachings and used religion to spread hatred amongst human beings. Be it Islam, Christianity or any other religion, these merchants of hatred continue to emerge even today, as in the past. For their vested interest, these merchants of hatred have been distorting the teachings of their religion and sowing seeds of hatred amongst the humans thus negating the teachings of the prophets and preachers. In every era, those who worship God and adore His creatures, have struggled and resisted against these merchants of hatred. Therefore, today it is the duty of all those who love human and humanity, to struggle and fight as a united force against those who spread hatred. The celebration of Christmas gives us this very lesson.

Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the Jesus Christ spent all his life serving the human being and the oppressed. The birth anniversary of Jesus Christ teaches us a lesson that instead of following the path of self service and personal interest we should work for the well being of the humanity and help the victims of oppression and suppression, irrespective of whatever part of the world they live in. On behalf of the Mohajirs, the righteous masses and himself, Mr Altaf Hussain extended his heartiest greetings to the Christians in Pakistan and all over the world on Christmas Day.
