MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain has stated that when the MQM will come into power it will reopen the Zulfikar Bhutto Case for investigation. He was addressing the MQM public rallies organized in Dadu, Thatta, Shikarpur, Badin and Larkana, which were attended by thousands of participants. He said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has twice come into power in the name of Zulfikar Bhutto but failed to constitute a commission to investigate his murder and continued to fool the people by raising the “jiay Bhutto” slogan. One of Zulfikar Bhutto’s sons was murdered in France and the other Murtaza Bhutto was murdered during the PPP Government but Benazir Bhutto failed to disclose the name of his murderers to the public. When she can remain silent over her brother’s murder then how can she struggle for the rights of Sindh Province? Instead of exposing the murderers of Bhutto, the PPP has repeatedly allied with his murderers. When Zulfikar Bhutto was murdered the Jamaat-e-Islami distributed sweets in Pakistan to express their joy. The Jamaat-e-Islami was responsible for spreading poisonous propaganda against Zulfikar Bhutto and his family and today the PPP is making an alliance with them. Sindh is the land of Sufis and its people are peace loving and accommodating but the religious extremists are trying to capture Sindh under the guise of Hasba Bill. However, PPP has forged an alliance with the anti-Sindh religious extremist party Jamaat-e-Islami and the MMA. He asked if the people of Sindh will support this act of PPP. He said that the people of Sindh will not be deluded by the politics of slogans but they have to decide on the basis of facts and realities. If they want to achieve the rights of Sindh Province then they must stop relying on the jaagirdars, waderas and so-called nationalists and the people of Sindh including elders, mothers, sisters and youth should struggle for themselves. They may face difficulties and resistance in their struggle but they must remain determined and focused because Sain Shah LatifRH has said that if one has to live and die an honourable life then one must be prepared to face the critical situations and must ignore the difficulties because success cannot be achieved without sacrifices. He reminded that we must not think of personal preferences but start thinking about the rights of Sindh Dharti as a whole. We must get sidetracked by thinking what personal gains can be achieved through this struggle but we must focus on how to acquire the rights of Sindh Province. If we will continue to struggle for personal gains then we will also join the list of opportunists. Mr Hussain assured that if we will remain determined in our struggle and not fear of the difficult times ahead then God willing one day success will be ours.
Informing the participants of his struggle Mr Hussain said that he is a common man who lived in a small house of 120 sq yards with no wealth. He said that he is not a wadera or jaagirdar but he made up his mind and decided that he has to struggle for the rights of deprived citizens of Pakistan. During this struggle he had to face numerous atrocities and oppression. His brother and nephew and thousands of MQM leaders and workers have been extra-judicially murdered and thousands were sent to prison. He was arrested three times and tortured in custody but he and his companions remain committed. We never lost hope and as a result the MQM is today the third largest political party of Pakistan and the second largest political party of Sindh Province. He said that today he can see the light, his Sindh brothers, mothers, sisters and elders are joining the MQM and if the people of Sindh will continue to support the MQM then we assure them we will never allow the religious extremists to take control of Sindh and will attain the rights of the province.
Mr Hussain said that despite being in the government, the MQM took the courageous stand against and refused to accept the unjust NFC Award, which was a very difficult decision to take, being part of the coalition government. On the other hand the PPP despite being in the government twice never took such a stand against the NFC Award and instead traded the rights of Sindh at the hands of anti-Sindh forces. Mr Hussain said that MQM is a democratic party and elections are part of democracy. The people Sindh should vote for the success of Haq Parast candidates who are the one truly struggling for the rights of Sindh. He advised that for the rights of Sindh; despite the electoral process we must strive to spread the message of MQM in every nook and corner of Sindh.
