The Central Coordination Committee of the MQM has appealed to all those
supporters of the MQM, who fulfil the criterion of the Election Commission,
possess good character and are interested in contesting elections from MQM’s
platform, to submit their applications along with complete personal details and
two recent photographs at Nine Zero, the MQM Head Office in Azizabad, Karachi
till 14 August 2002. The Coordination Committee has warned the interested persons
not to handover the application to anyone in person because for this purpose a
drop box will be placed at the MQM Head Office.
Moreover, the applications could also be sent through post till 15 August
2002 at the MQM Head Office 494/8 Azizabad, Karachi.
The Coordination Committee clarified that this announcement is only for
MQM supporters and not for the workers. The
Coordination Committee further clarified that no fees has been demanded in this
regard along with the applications.
