ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ON ARIF JAMAL IS PART OF THE MALICIOUS CONSPIRACY OF THE ESTABLISHMENT—ALTAF HUSSAIN

Mr Altaf Hussain, MQM Founder and Leader, has strongly condemned the assassination attempt upon the life of Mr Arif Jamal, Incharge of MQM North Nazimabad Sector yesterday, which resulted in severe injuries.  He said that the Punjabi Establishment agitated with the growing harmony amongst the Sindhi and Urdu speaking people of Sindh Province is now targeting the MQM office bearers and workers.  The recent assassination attempt is part of the malicious conspiracy of the Punjabi Establishment.  He stated that the struggle for the rights of Sindh Province could not be crushed by such brutal cowardly act of State terrorism and attacks upon the MQM workers.

He sent his best wishes to Arif Jamal and prayed for his early recovery. He also appealed to the public in general to pray for the early recovery of Arif Jamal.  Addressing the workers and the public he advised them to control their emotions, remain determined and continue their peaceful struggle.
