FIRST LARGEST AND AN OVERWHELMING PRESS CONFERENCE EVER ATTENDED BY THE INTERNATIONAL MEDIA HELD AT ABROAD ADDRESSED BY
MR. ALTAF HUSSAIN IN LONDON

Enclosed please find a copy of the Press Conference held in the offices of MQM International Secretariat addressed by MQM Leader, Mr. Altaf Hussain. This Press Conference was the largest and an overwhelming ever held abroad conducted by any political leader from Pakistan. More than twenty (20) reporters and correspondents representing International and National media including, Agency France Press, The Observer, BBC World News Service, Asian News International, Asian Age, IRNA News Agency, The News, The Nation, Dawn, Jang, Aman, PPI, Kashmir Press International and Press Trust of India.

A 60 feet long and 30 feet long Secretariat’s Meeting Hall was packed with a large crowd consist of the reporters, photographers and TV Camera Operators representing print, radio and television media. Also a large number of the representatives from local and international community and human rights organizations were among the attendees.

With the sole purpose of bringing facts to the world concerning the recent Judgement given by Magistrate Hussain Bakhsh Khoso in which two MQM workers have falsely been implicated in the murder case of four U.S. citizens and their Pakistani driver in Karachi, Mr. Hussain spoke about an hour and twenty-five minutes long press conference started at 11:25 a.m. and ended at 12:50 p.m. Also a 30 minute questions and answers session was added at the end followed by two separate interviews of Mr. Altaf Hussain taken by the BBC World News Service and Sunrise Radio News.
