GOVERNMENT SPONSORED AND PATRONISED TERRORISTS "HAQIQI" OPEN FIRE AND SHOOT MEMBER UNIT COMMITTEE OF MQM UNIT 84, DURING THE MQM RALLY IN KARACHI

14 August 1999 - Karachi

During the "Million March" MQM peaceful rally in Karachi, the Government Sponsored and patronised terrorists "Haqiqi" opened fired when the last leg of the rally reached Liaquatabad. No. 4. As a result of the firing, Iftikhar Ali, member unit committee, MQM Unit 84, Sector Landhi, received bullet injuries at his forehead.

The terrorists also hurled stones at the protestors and finally resorted to firing in the protection of the police.

The victim is in a critical condition and under going surgery in a local hospital. This firing was aimed at sabotaging the rally and with a view of killing hundreds of people as a result of expected stampede.
