ALTAF HUSSAIN APPEALS THE NATION TO PRAY FOR SOLIDERS TRAPPED IN THE AVALANCHE
LONDON: 10TH APRIL 2012:
Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has appealed to every Pakistani to offer special prayers, for survival and safe recovery of 124 officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army and eleven civilians trapped in the avalanche in Siachen.
Mr Hussain asked the people of Pakistan, transcending across the religious beliefs and faiths, to offer prayers for the soldiers trapped in Siachen in mosques, churches, temples and other places of worship according to their beliefs. He asked them to hold prayer meetings not only in their respective places of worships but also in their homes and communities for the security and safe return of the soldiers.

MQM CONDEMNS SECTARIAN VIOLENCE IN GILGIT , ULEMA TO PALY THEIR ROLE TO FOIL THE CONSPIRACY

On special instruction from the Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr Altaf Hussain, a two member delegation of MQM Coordination Committee, consisting of Waseem Aftab and Saghir Ahmed met Shia religious scholars Allama Talib Jauhari and head of the Jafariya Alliance Allama Abbas Kumaili separately. They discussed with concern the recent incidents of the sectarian violence in Gilgit-Biltistan and strongly condemned it.
MQM delegation termed the incidents of sectarian violence in Gilgit as conspiracy to sabotage peace of the country. The delegation urged upon the Ulema to spread harmony, brotherhood and sense of tolerance among the people through their speeches in mosques and Imam Bargah so as to prevent the enemies of Islam to create sectarian violence and terrorism in the country.
