Altaf Hussain expressed his heart felt condolence and
Sympathies to the BNP leader Sardar Akhtar Mengal,
on the brutal murder of Bloch Leaders

MQM Quaid Mr. Altaf Hussain today spoke on the phone with the Baluchistan National Party leader Sardar Akhtar Mengal and expressed his heart felt condolence and sympathies on the brutal murder of their Bloch Leaders.

Mr. Altaf Hussain said that MQM is a Movement that stands for the rights of all. It stood by the Truth and against oppression and raised its voice against all form of injustice and oppression.

Even though MQM was in the government, it protested against the inhumane slaughter of Nawab Akbar Bughti and the military operation in Baluchistan, and to this day it demands an investigation into his murder.

Mr. Altaf  Hussain further said that while the army operation was on in Baluchistan, MQM formed  a fact finding mission comprising of Journalists and Human Rights activists to visit Baluchistan and to make public the incidents and happenings that were going on in Baluchistan.

All preparations were made but one day before the departure of the Fact Finding Mission, Mr. Shahid Bughti, leader of the Jamhori Watan Party contacted the MQM leadership and stopped the departure of the Fact Finding Mission from going to Baluchistan.

Mr. Altaf Hussain told Sardar Akhtar Mengal that he was with the Baluch people yesterday and he is with them today also.

 He said that we share the sorrow of the Baluch people and we have appealed to the masses of the nation to tie black arm bands tomorrow and by their action prove that they share the sorrow of the oppressed masses of Baluchistan and they are with them against this aggression.

Mr. Altaf Hussain said that even though we are part of the government we are ready to be with the Baluch people against the aggression that are taking place on them.

We will raise our voices against the brutal murder of the Baluch leaders at every forums including the assembly.

Sardar Akhtar Mengal reiterated to Mr. Altaf Hussain that Ghulam Muhammad Baluch, Sher Mohammad Baluch and Munir Baluch were arrested on the morning of 3^rd April and after torturing them for many days blatantly murdered them and their bodies were bashed and thrown away. Thereby one more injustice was done to the Baluch people.

Akhtar Mengal said that the Baluch People will give all sacrifices but will not compromise on their rights.

Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the 3 martyr’s leaders by their sacrifice have given a new wave of awakening in the Baluch masses. For these martyred leaders however many tributes are paid would not be sufficient.

Sardar Akhtar Mengal thanked Mr. Altaf Hussain for raising his voice on the murder of the Baloch leaders and for showing solidarity with the Baluch people. He thanked Mr. Altaf Hussain on his own behalf and on behalf of Baluchistan National Party office bearers and workers.

Mr. Altaf Hussain offered his good wishes and prayed for the well being and health of senior leader Sardar Attaullah Mengal.
