Taliban want to impose their self design Shariat in Punjab: Altaf Hussain

Founder & Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr. Altaf Hussain has said that the Taliban, through their activities of terrorism are now attempting to infiltrate their oppressive rule into Punjab. They are also through their self design; self interpreted Shariat would like to target Punjab’s mothers, sisters and daughters with their cruelty and barbarism. Rest assures the workers of MQM Punjab will never allow this to happen, at any cost. For the safety of the mothers, sisters, and daughters of Punjab they will not hesitate sacrifice their lot.

Mr. Altaf Hussain expressed these views while speaking to the office bearer’s of different districts of Punjab – Multan, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Layah, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lodhran, Sargodha, Muzaffar garh, Narowal, Sialkot, Kasur, Lahore, Rawalpindi and the capital Islamabad. Mr. Altaf Hussain thanked the MQM office bearers, workers and Haq Parast masses from the depth of his heart for the peaceful protest against the barbaric act of whipping the innocent girl in the public square by the Taliban in Swat.

He also said that the MQM workers and the people of Punjab by welcoming the appeal of the MQM and raising their voices in protest against the barbarism, self designed Shariat and saying that they don’t accept this. He further said that the Taliban are attacking Pakistan Police, Army, Rangers, and FC and security forces in the name of Islam. Even the Mosques and Imam Bargahs are not spared and innocent people are being brutally killed and innocent daughters are being flogged in the open.

Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the aim and objective of the Taliban is not serving Islam but defaming Islam around the world and dismembering Pakistan. For this objective the anti Pakistan forces are financing the. He also said that like the NWFP, Taliban now wants to impose their self designed laws in the Punjab also. Thereby targets the mothers, sisters and daughters are made the target of their operation and barbarism but this will not be allowed by the MQM Punjab workers.

Mr. Altaf Hussain praised the MQM Punjab office bearers and workers for being steadfast and announces that in order to spread the party message and to strengthen the party in Punjab very soon there will be reorganization. For this purpose an MQM Punjab Convention will be called. He instructed the MQM Punjab office bearers and workers to start the preparations for the convention.

He also instructed all the office holders of MQM to safeguard the mothers, sisters elders, students, shopkeepers, traders, businessmen, farmers, labourer and people from different walks of life. He also said all these people be given his regard.
