FLOGGING OF THE GIRL IS A NAKED BARBARISM THAT DESERVES SEVEREST OF CONDEMNATION

Mr Altaf Hussain, Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) in his interview in a private TV Channel termed the flogging of 17 years old innocent girl in Kabbal, Swat Valley, Pakistan by the Talibans an act of naked terrorism that deserves severest of condemnation. He appealed to the, President of Pakistan Mr Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Interior Minister Mr Rahman Malik to arrest and publicly hang those barbaric terrorists’ who flogged the 17 years old girl to make them a symbol of admonition so that no one ever dares to commit similar act.

Mr Altaf Hussain stressed that he had been making the nation aware persistently for a long time to unite against Talibanisation but the critics had always criticised as if they never had daughters. He further added that a few so-called religious scholars are supporting this act. He strongly claimed that either these scholars are totally unaware of the Shariah or wrongly interpreting it. He said every father and mother having daughters must have shuddered having seen the flogging of this 17 years old innocent girl in Swat. He vehemently said that those committing these barbarism can not be the friends of Islam but only foes who are tarnishing its image.

Mr Altaf Hussain said that the Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon Him) waged a Jihad against those who buried their daughter alive on birth during the medieval period and the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) termed the girls as a blessings of Allah. He stressed that he is in despair and saddened on this barbaric act and appeals to every single mother and father having daughters to unite against Talibanisation and raise their protests with such intensity that no one ever dares to commit this barbarism. Reiterating his appeal to the President, Prime Minister and Interior Minister to arrest and publicly hang those who flogged the 17 years old girl to make them a symbol of admonition so that no one ever dares to commit similar act under the rubrics of Islam.
