MQM announces names of Sindhi-speaking candidates

KARACHI, April 29: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has announced the names of
its Sindhi-speaking candidates contesting the May 12 byelections being held for
NA and PS seats.
Speaking at a press conference at Karachi Press Club, Nisar Ahmed Panwhar, who
is contesting from NA-246 (Azizabad), said in the recent by-polls of the local
bodies, people of Sindh got rid of the spell of the so-called political and
religious parties and are gathering under the umbrella of the Muttahida Qaumi
Movement.
The party fielded Yousaf Munir Shaikh for the provincial assembly seat (PS-127)
from Malir and Ashfaq Mangi from Khairpur constituency.
The candidates who were also present at the press conference urged the people to
vote for the leadership from the middle class for the solution of their basic
problems instead of landlords.
