Jobless youth, another commit suicide

KARACHI: Muhammad Husain, 21, son of Noor Nabi had some poisonous drug at his residence in Surjani Town police limits and fell unconscious. His relatives took him to Baqi Hospital where he died during treatment after a few hours. Police said the young man was jobless.
Fakhruddin, 50, a bigamist, after exchange of hot words with his second wife locked him in a room of his residence in Eidgah and had some poison. His relatives took him to JPMC in critical condition where, after a few hours, he died during treatment.
Girl killed, five injured: A young girl was killed and five others, including a minor girl, were injured in different mishaps. Sadaf, 22, an unmarried girl received bullet wound and died on the spot when some unknown people opened fire in a marriage ceremony at Pan Mandi in Risala police limits. She was looking at the festivities from the roof top of her residence. Muhammad Basheer, his wife Shehla Perveen and his five-year-old daughters Kiran, cab driver Muhammad Yaseen and a motorcycle rider Muhammad Sabir were injured, when a speeding cab (JL-9020) hit a motorcycle (KCJ-795) and rammed into truck (JT-9496) in Korangi Industrial Area.
Transporter killed: A bullet-riddled corpse was recovered from Jam Kundo main road, Guddap. It was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed. Police identified the deceased as Rahim Khan Barohi from Naushehro Feroz a cattle pen owner and transporter and was shot dead by the unknown killers at point blank.
One killed as groups clash: A man was killed and three others were injured in a clash between groups in Surjani Town. Asif Mashi, 30, his brothers Ilyas Mashi and Sarfaraz Mashi received bullet wounds when Sabir Masih opened fire on them at their residence at Nasir Colony in Surjani Town. The injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed but Asif succumbed on the way to the hospital. Police said the injured and the accused were drunk.
Meanwhile, M Wazeer Dost, 23, received bullet wounds, when Bawal Khan after exchange of hot words, fired at him in Rangar Mohala, Baldia Town. He was taken to Civil Hospital but he succumbed to the wounds on the way. 15 vehicles snatched: Armed men looted cash, jewellery, electrical appliances and snatched 15 vehicles from various parts of the city on Sunday.
Rs 18,000, licenced revolver was taken away in Chakiwara; Rs55,457 from Asif in Darakshan; cash, jewellery and electrical appliances from a house in Ferozabad; cash, jewellery and valuables from a house in Gulshan-e-Iqbal; cash, jewellery and electrical appliances from a house in North Nazimabad and cash, jewellery and valuables from another house in Aziz Bhatti. Carjackers snatched seven cars, one Suzuki Pick-up, a yellow cab and six motorcycles from different parts of the metropolis.
